Surrounded by the beauty of California's northern forests, and the sounds of Smith River echoing through the landscape (winter season), this cabin is the perfect getaway to nature and seclusion. Up to six happy glampers can be comfortably accommodated here on almost an acre of land, with two bedrooms offering a king-size bed and a twin-over-queen bunk bed set, respectively. The living room also boasts a queen-size sleeper sofa, and there are additionally two bathrooms.

The living room is a great spot in which to unwind, with a large flat-screen television with DVD player, satellite Wi-Fi internet, and comfy seating. A fully-equipped kitchen allows guests to self-cater in style, with complimentary gourmet coffee and tea offered to glampers. Outside, a spacious wrap-around deck is the perfect place to gaze over the forests full of local flora, with an outdoor grill for alfresco dining and cooking.

Air conditioning and heating are featured throughout the cabin, which, along with a wood-burning stove, will keep things cozy in every season. The hosts also supply the wood. A washing machine and dryer will make even longer stays comfortable, and guests will also have access to a two-car garage. All linens and towels are provided by the host and, outside, glampers will also find a wrap-around deck with a gas grill, as well as a kayak.

COVID-19 Actions

I just wanted you to know, we only own The Cabin Vacation Rental and have one housekeeper so we are in close contact with her and are very aware of the COVID 19. I've decided to allow some time between guests and then a deep cleaning and sterilization of as much of The Cabin as possible. There is also a bleach water mix recommended by the CDC that will be available to all guests for you to sanitize the dishes, and hard surfaces, etc. Please do not use this on the leather couch or any fabric since it has bleach in it. We have other sanitizers for that and the housekeeper will use it between each guest. I removed many things like throw pillows and throw blankets, area rugs, books and magazines, etc. While there is soap I am not supplying hand sanitizers.

With the beauty of the national forests ascending the western coast to this property, there are miles of beautiful hiking trails for glampers to explore while staying here. The Smith River, just a 10-minute walk away, provides plenty of opportunities for making a splash, and is also a great spot for fishing, offering some of the largest chinook and salmon in the country. The coast, too, is close by, with Crescent City just over 20 miles away from a great location from which to observe migrating whales.
