For outdoor lovers and nature enthusiasts, there are two distinct desert ecosystems: the Mojave and Colorado. These two deserts form Joshua Tree National Park, where visitors can find a variety of native plants and wildlife. Located only one mile away is Integratron, a 38-foot high structure designed by Ufologist and Contactee George Van Tassel, who claimed it aided in rejuvenation and had anti-gravity and time travel capabilities.

Guests can step back in time with a nostalgic drive-in theatre, open in the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Nearby is the Giant Rock, the largest free-standing boulder in the world, where guests can take a few snapshots. For thrill-seekers, there are nearby off-roading courses, which are fun for riding around with a 4WD vehicle. There is also Gubler Orchids nursery, along with a nonpublic sister nursery Lucerne Valley, that has greenhouses with a combined 155,000 square feet, and over 60-year old orchids.
