This charming cottage built by the owners is located at the eastern edge of the Russian Gulch State Park and boasts a lovely walk down a Redwood canyon to the waterfall in the park. It is a perfect place for a honeymoon, special occasion or quiet retreat in nature. It has a comfortable queen-size bed with nice linens and a beautiful marble tiled bathroom with a jetted tub and large shower, with towels and soap provided. The sofa becomes a double bed for one adult or two small children.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender and pots and pans and dishes and wine glasses, as well as organic coffee and teas, wholesome bread, butter and jam, a bowl of fresh fruit and flowers for the mornings upon arrival. There is a gas BBQ and picnic table and chairs with string light above to enjoy the evenings outdoors. Flames from an enameled European stove gives the warmth and coziness of a fire with the convenience of a thermostat. Sightings of rabbits, raccoons, foxes, deer and many birds are common as well as the Milky Way Galaxy on crystal clear dark nights. From the cottage glampers can walk through a beautiful Redwood canyon to the waterfall in Russian Gulch State Park, and there are many biking trails through the woods and down to Big River in the State Forest that borders the property. There are many secluded beaches and ten State Parks along the coast, great for hiking, bird watching, beach combing, mushrooming and whale watching (November through April). Glampers can kayak up pristine Big River and commune with ospreys, herons and river otters, or in Van Damme Bay paddling through caves and tunnels along the coast. The magnificent Mendocino coast provides photographers with limitless possibilities. Wine tasting, fine restaurants, ocean sunsets and art galleries add to the magic that is Mendocino.
