This rustic tipi is ideal for four guests to enjoy a glamping getaway near Sacramento, California. Set on top of a raised wooden platform next to Weber Creek, the tipi is furnished with thick sleeping mats and a propane fire pit with propane available for rent. Towels are provided. Guests will need to bring their own sleeping bags.

The tipi is situated right across a bridge from the site's lodge, where guests will find bathrooms with changing tables, diaper pails, flush toilets, and showers that are cleaned daily. The lodge also features a ping-pong table, a collection of games and game tables, a Keurig coffeemaker, a hot water kettle, indoor dining tables, and covered outdoor picnic tables.

Other shared amenities include a barbecue area with propane grills, charcoal grills, a cooking griddle, a cool room for bear-proof food storage, a campfire bowl with bench seating, hiking trails, a basketball court, a volleyball court, a playground with swing sets and a seesaw, and equipment for enjoying outdoor games on the site's meadow, such as a tug-a-war rope, gunny sacks, baseballs, gloves, and a soccer net.

Around the glamping site, guests will enjoy shared access to a variety of family-friendly facilities and amenities. At the site's lodge, guests will find a ping-pong table, a collection of games and game tables, a kitchen, a Keurig coffeemaker, a hot water kettle, indoor dining tables, covered outdoor picnic tables, and bathrooms with changing tables, diaper pails, flush toilets, and showers that are cleaned daily.

For outdoor recreation, the site provides guests with hiking trails, a basketball court, a volleyball court, a cornhole court, a playground with swing sets and a seesaw, and equipment for enjoying outdoor games on the site's meadow, such as a tug-a-war rope, gunny sacks, baseballs, gloves, and a soccer net. Between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, part of Weber Creek is dammed so that guests can enjoy floating in it.

Other shared amenities include a cool room for bear-proof food storage, a campfire bowl with bench seating, and a barbecue area with propane grills, charcoal grills, and a cooking griddle. Outside the accommodation, guests will find a private propane fire pit, for which one complimentary five-gallon propane tank is provided. Additional tanks can be purchased for an extra fee.

Right at the glamping site, guests can enjoy hiking on the trails, swimming in Weber Creek, and playing volleyball and basketball on the courts. For more hiking, guests can head to the Desolation Wilderness, Eldorado National Forest, and the Tahoe Rim Trail, which can also be used for horseback riding and biking. While hiking in these areas, guests can also enjoy many opportunities for wildlife viewing and bird-watching, with species such as mule deer, black bears, coyotes, porcupines, badgers, bobcats, yellow-bellied marmots, Clark's nutcrackers, and mountain bluebirds to spot.

Guests interested in horseback riding can go on guided rides through Camp Richardson Corral, Cascade Stables, and Paradise Ranch Equestrian Center. For whitewater river rafting, kayaking, and canoeing, guests can head down the South Fork American River, with rentals, tours, and lessons available through more than two dozen local outfitters. Fishing can be enjoyed right on Weber Creek or the many streams that crisscross the Eldorado National Forest and the Desolation Wilderness.

In the winter, guests will find trails for cross-country skiing right in the surrounding El Dorado County, with more trails for both cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to be found around Lake Tahoe and Hope Valley. For downhill skiing and snowboarding, guests can visit Heavenly Mountain Resort, Sierra-at-Tahoe, and Kirkwood Mountain Resort.

For wine tasting, guests can visit the many wineries that dot El Dorado County, some of which can be found among the ranches of Apple Hill. For shopping and dining, guests will find a variety of shops, restaurants, eateries right in downtown Placerville, where they can also attend special events such as the Third Saturday Art Walk and the Bell Tower Brewfest.

Last but not least, El Dorado County was one of the epicenters of the Gold Rush, and its historical connections to the era are retained and can still be experienced today at attractions such as Marshall Gold Discovery Historic Park, Gold Discovery Museum and Visitor Center, and Gold Bug Park.
