Located in The Valley of the Moon, in the mountains, in between Santa Rosa and Kenwood, California, this romantic tree house is a studio cottage with a large wrap-around deck and makes for a unique getaway for two. There is a full kitchenette, a bathroom with a romantic clawfoot tub, and an outdoor hot tub available for an additional fee of $100, which should be paid in advance. The star gazing house is a separate dwelling (not a rental) that is part of our guest's experience here, it boasts fabulous views and offers guests a true piece of paradise in California.

The retreat has a circular skylight and comes beautifully furnished while the kitchen amenities include a four-burner stove, an oven, and a mini-refrigerator. For entertainment, guests will have a DVD player with films and the queen-size bed provides a great night's sleep. Extras include an iron and a hairdryer.

Outside guests have a wrap-around deck and a propane BBQ which overlook a private forest of oak and madrone trees. There is even a fabulous star gazing cabin which can be accessed across the suspension bridge where guests can stare up into the dark abyss using the telescope.

Facilities here include a state-of-the-art swiss electric fire stove and heater and a Jacuzzi for two, the latter of which is perfect for luxuriating after a long day exploring the area. Linens and towels are kindly provided by the host.

Other features include a kitchenette, a star-gazing lookout, high-speed internet via ethernet cable inside the cottage, and the basic necessities. There is no Wi-Fi available, and guests should note that Verizon customers have little reception on this mountain.
