Shingle Springs

Situated in the historic gold country foothills of northern California is Shingle Springs. It was originally established as a mining camp to the 49ers and is now considered a California Historic Landmark. Today, a large population of Miwok Indians is headquartered here. Folsom Lake State Recreation Area is located just to the west, and offers activities like fishing, hiking, boating, and picnicking.
