Description of Glamping Units
This alpine cabin is a charming and upscale vacation rental located in South Lake Tahoe, California, only minutes away from the lakeshore in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It can accommodate up to 10 guests.
There are four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed and a twin-size bunk bed with trundle. The second and third bedrooms each have a queen-size bed, and the fourth bedroom has a pair of twin-size beds. Three of the bathrooms come with a bathtub and shower combination, and the fourth bathroom comes with a shower. All four bathrooms also come with toiletries, a sink, and a toilet. Linens and towels are provided.
In the living room, guests can curl up on the sofa with a good book from the library, or warm up by the fireplace after a day of skiing. Downstairs there is a family room with nice cozy furniture, a flat-screen TV, another fireplace, and a ping-pong table.
The fully-equipped kitchen contains a fridge, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a coffeemaker. The kitchen connects to a dining room with lovely views of the surrounding woodlands and the soaring, majestic snow-capped mountains. There is a home office space with a computer and a fireplace, and a guest quarters with a kitchenette and another dining area. Other amenities include heating and air conditioning, cable and satellite, wireless Internet, and a washer and dryer.
Outside, there is a private balcony, and a large furnished deck with a hot tub and a hammock. Guests can relax on the deck after a long day of kayaking on Lake Tahoe or hiking through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and breathe in the crisp pine air or watch the sunset over the California wilderness. The back deck features a private hot tub. There are five fireplaces with one each in the living room, family room, home office, and two of the bedrooms. Guests at the rental will have direct access to Star and Powerline trails for hiking and mountain biking.

This vacation rental is located in South Lake Tahoe, California, and is surrounded by towering pines, rugged mountains, and a babbling creek. Nestled within the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the rental is only a few minutes away from the shores of Lake Tahoe and El Dorado Beach. Cold Creek runs next to the rental, which is backed by a couple of acres of woodlands from Eldorado National Forest. South Lake Tahoe is around 20 minutes away from Emerald State Bay Park. Guests can spend the day on Lake Tahoe for fishing, boating, canoeing, and kayaking. In the summer, they can swim, sail, snorkel, paddle-board, and jet-ski. Guests can sunbathe or take walks along the clean white sand at El Dorado Beach.
Emerald Bay State Park sits right on the edge of Lake Tahoe. When not having fun on the water, guests can hike, ride bikes, and view wildlife along scenic nature trails the lake. History buffs can tour Vikingsholm, a huge Nordic-style mansion built in the park in the 1920's.
The rental is conveniently located near many popular and high-end ski resorts. Winter sports enthusiasts can choose between Heavenly Mountain Resort, Sierra-at-Tahoe, and Northstar California for skiing and snowboarding. Heavenly Mountain Resort and Northstar California both have restaurants, and trails for hiking and biking through the mountains. In addition, guests can head over to Squaw Valley Ski Resort, which also has a spa and a water park that's open in the summer.
Guests can take day trips to Eldorado National Forest, parts of which are right in the rental's backyard. The park has more nature trails for hiking and biking, as well as climbing and horseback riding through the Sierra Nevada Mountains. In the winter, slopes will be open for skiing, snowboarding, sledding, tubing, and snowmobiling. In the summer, guests can go fishing, boating, and jet-skiing on the park's lakes.
Those who want a taste of Vegas can head over to Stateline, on the border between California and Nevada, for a fun night at the casinos.

The Lake Tahoe area has strict rules governing vacation rentals. Parties and special events like weddings and reunions are not allowed. Guests cannot make an excessive amount of noise or exceed the maximum occupancy. Also, guests cannot use the hot tub after 22:00.
