About this place

This unique accommodation above a modern barn can be found in Morongo Valley, California, just 20 minutes outside of lovely Palm Springs, California. The suite is ideal for animal lovers. A variety of animals roam the property, ready for guests to greet them, snap a photo with them, or even venture out on a hike together. This suite has one bedroom and one bathroom and can accommodate two guests. Guests who stay here will find comfort and relaxation while nestled away above the darling barn surrounded by palm trees, desert ranch land, and adorable, well-behaved animals.

This A-frame hideaway houses a king-size bed with a romantic canopy hung overhead that faces a large picture window overlooking the ranch. A television mounted above the window allows guests to tune in to cable television and catch classic movies before bed. A desk to the left of the window provides guests with a space to work if desired. In the opposite corner of the room, guests will find a bar with two bar stools next to it, so guests can enjoy a private drink together in their suite.

After a long day hiking and exploring nearby natural wonders, few things sound better than running a hot bath in the clawfoot tub or cozying into the massage chair. The sink rests next to the tub, on an angled mirrored wall, and the toilet is hidden away in a private area with a door behind the sink. There is an outdoor shower facing Mt. San Jacinto, so guests can experience the freshest showers with an unbeatable view.

Perhaps the best part of the romantic suite can be found outside on the spacious deck, where guests will be able to look out across the beautiful terrain during daylight hours and stargaze across the wide clear sky while comfortably seated at the four-person dining table. A larger bar in the corner facilitates an easy location to fix snacks and drinks while enjoying fresh air and sunshine.

Upon arrival, each guest will be given a tour of the ranch and will be treated to a drink from the saloon. Visitors are then invited to spend their time as they wish, whether that involves playing a game of pool, ping pong, or darts at the saloon. We answer questions and talk about what places you'd like to visit during your stay.

On-site facilities include Wi-Fi and cable television so that guests can remain in touch if they so choose. The private loft has heating and air conditioning so that no matter the time of year, guests will find themselves comfortable. All essentials such as linens, towels, soap, shampoo, and toilet paper are provided, along with a hairdryer in the bathroom. Parking is plentiful, and guests have a separate entrance to their suite for privacy. Continental Welcome breakfast is provided the first morning.

Movie buffs and fans of old western films should be sure to visit Pioneertown. The Old West town was built in the 1940s by a group of well-known Hollywood actors, including Roy Rogers and Gene Autry, with the idea of creating a town that had the exterior look of a western town in the 1880s, such as frontier stables, old jails, and saloons, with the interiors housing modern locations and activities such as bowling alleys, restaurants, motels, and ice cream shops. Pioneertown was one of the most popular filming locations in the 1940s and 1950s, but today has become a fun tourist attraction for guests to see mock gunfights and enjoy great live music at Pappy and Harriet’s Pioneertown Palace while digging into a delicious rack of barbecue ribs.

For exploration in Morongo Valley, guests should stop in at Cactus Mart, heaven for plant fanatics. The plant emporium features cacti, succulents, tools, supplies, decor, and more for all planting needs. The work of local artists is often displayed at Cactus Mart, as well, and it has become a primary destination for guests to visit and pick up great gifts from the area.
