There are numerous sites and activities of unparalleled beauty that the sensitive traveler would not want to miss, such as the Giant Sequoia Redwood trees dotted along the Generals Highway, Crystal Cave in Sequoia National Park and the Boyden Cavern in Kings Canyon National Park to name just a few; there are meadows and lakes, unusual rock formations like Moro Rock (Sequoia National Park) or Half Dome (Yosemite National Park.), and cavernous divides created by the rushing Kings River; there are the John Muir trails, natural water slides and pools at Potwisha, ranger tours and on and on. The Sierra Nevada is a magical place. Local towns and cities located near to the property allowing glampers to explore the shopping opportunities, or to wander and enjoy all the fine eateries.
Two minutes off of Sierra Highway, this rental is also on the road to the Ladybug Trail—a low-elevation foothill trail that leads to some campsites and a small outlier section of the Homer's Nose sequoia grove. It's mainly a fabulous off-season hike as in late winter and in spring the trail features a large roaring river, and in spring wildflowers, and ladybugs. Ladybug Camp (1.7 miles up the trail), where masses of ladybugs can sometimes be seen is a wonderful hike. A maintained trail continues from there to a small cluster of sequoias at three miles. Ask the hosts about the very best swimming holes in the park as they have explored many of the trails leading to the best ones!
