Description of Glamping Units
Featuring an open plan, ample windows, and a spacious well-lit interior, this cabin rental is located in the Tahoe Donner community of Truckee, California, and can accommodate six guests for a relaxing getaway full of outdoor recreation. It has two bedrooms, two sleeping lofts, and two full bathrooms.
The first bedroom features a queen-size bed, a spacious closet, and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom is furnished with another queen-size bed and a flat-screen television. Guests will find a full-size bed in the first loft and a pair of twin beds in the second loft. In the living/dining room, guests will find a sofa, an armchair, a flat-screen television, a gas fireplace, and a six-person dining table set beneath a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and a wall full of floor-to-ceiling windows. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with an oven, a stove, a microwave, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a coffeemaker, along with a breakfast bar that seats four.

This cabin is located in Truckee, California, where it is situated in a wooded neighborhood that belongs to the Tahoe Donner homeowner's association. Set by Alder Creek, which runs right behind the property, the cabin is only a mile from the Tahoe Donner Cross-Country Ski Area, a mile from the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area, and two miles from the Trout Creek Recreation Center, which contains a variety of facilities for indoor recreation, exercise, and relaxation.
By the cross-country ski area, guests will also find the Tahoe Donner Bikeworks bicycle rental service and the Alder Creek Adventure Center, which provides access to the association's 60 miles of multi-use trails and fire access service roads. These trails and roads wind through 5,018 acres of rugged forested terrain which is home to a variety of wildlife and birdlife, including marmots, deer, quail, and grouse. About 10 minutes to the south, guests will find Donner Memorial State Park on the eastern shore of Donner Lake. With eight miles of shoreline, 960 acres of surface area, and a variety of trout living in its pristine waters, the lake is a popular destination for boaters, fishers, and water sports enthusiasts alike. At the park, guests will find eight miles of trails winding through a forest of soaring lodgepole pines and white firs, which provide habitats to chipmunks, squirrels, porcupines, and raccoons. The area is surrounded by Tahoe National Forest, which encompasses more than 850,000 acres of woodlands, lakes, reservoirs, river canyons, and mountains.

The cabin's membership to the Tahoe Donner Homeowner's Association provides guests with access to a variety of activity options. For downhill skiing and cross-country skiing, they can hit the slopes and trails at the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort and Tahoe Donner Cross-Country Sk Area.
For hiking, biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, the association maintains more than 60 miles of trails and fire access service roads on 5,018 acres of rugged, forested terrain. Another eight miles of trails can be found at Donner Memorial State Park, with much more to be explored in the 871,495 acres of Tahoe National Forest.
On Donner Lake, guests can go kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, and pedal boating, with rentals, lessons, and tours available through the association's Beach Club Marina. The lake is also a prime spot for fishing, with a variety of trout to be caught.
For golfing, guests can hit the links at the Tahoe Donner Golf Course or practice their swings at the Tahoe Donner Driving Range. For playing and practicing tennis, the association maintains 11 hard courts, two pickleball courts, and two practice walls at Bennett Flat Meadow.
At the association's Trout Creek Recreation Center, guests can swim, exercise, and relax at the indoor recreation pool, the lap pool, the weight room, the cardio room, the dry sauna, the steam room, the massage rooms, and the spas.
