While staying at this Yosemite getaway, guests will find ample things to do right on the property, from settling into the cozy sofas in the living room with a good book to watching a movie together in front of the warm wood stove to grilling out on the cheerful deck with views of the woods. In Wawona, just up the road, glampers can play golf or set out for a day full of wildlife spotting in the rustic beauty of Yosemite on one of the basin’s many trails. Many of these trails lead to stunning waterfalls or overlooks, which provide vistas of the valleys and the Sierra Nevada mountains in the distance.
Glampers can also fish on the Tuolumne River or book a rafting trip on the Merced River. The river is also ideal for guided gold panning tours, in which glampers can try their luck at “striking it rich” in Yosemite Mariposa County. In Mariposa and Yosemite Village, guests can also peruse the number of art galleries and boutique shops around town, or learn about the history of the region in one of the cultural centers or on a heritage tour. Of course, the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias is not to be missed, where guests can learn about Yosemite's historic, gravity-defying redwood trees.
