Yosemite National Park
21 miles straight-line distance34 kilometers straight-line distanceThis log getaway is situated in a small, friendly community of other cabins in the woods of Yosemite National Park. The property is located in the idyllic area of Wawona Basin, which contains a small lodge and campground in the southwest region of the Yosemite. The national park is a celebrated expanse of protected forests, waterfalls, rivers, and valleys, sweeping over 740,000 acres in northern California. The park sits at the foot of the stunning Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, which dots the landscape of the west coast of the United States. The cabin itself is conveniently close to a few noteworthy Yosemite landmarks, like the Chilnualna Falls and the Pioneer Yosemite History Center. The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, or the breathtakingly beautiful redwoods, also known as the tallest trees in the world, are just 20 minutes away to the east.Activities near Wawona

While staying at this Yosemite log retreat, guests will find ample things to do right on the property, from settling into the cozy sofas in the living room with a good book to watching a movie together in front of the warm wood stove to grilling out on the cheerful deck with views of the woods. In Wawona, just up the road, glampers can play golf or set out for a day full of wildlife spotting in the rustic beauty of Yosemite on one of the basin’s many trails. Many of these trails lead to stunning waterfalls or overlooks, which provide vistas of the valleys and the Sierra Nevada mountains in the distance.
Glampers can also fish on the Tuolumne River or book a rafting trip on the Merced River. The river is also ideal for guided gold panning tours, in which glampers can try their luck at “striking it rich” in Yosemite's Mariposa County. In Mariposa and Yosemite Village, guests can also peruse the number of art galleries and boutique shops around town, or learn about the history of the region in one of the cultural centers or on a heritage tour. Of course, the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias is not to be missed, where guests can learn about Yosemite's historic, gravity-defying redwood trees.
All activities are subject to availability based on the season. Guests are asked to please inquire with the host for further details. -
