The Space:
Just 90 minutes from Portland, 45 from Salem and Tillamook, 40 to Lincoln City, and 30 from Pacific City and Sand Lake! Relax in your Adirondack chairs under the shade of a 300-year-old Maple tree while you gaze at the sunset over the hills...
Guest Access:
This is an exclusive campsite. The host partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!
Your campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent, you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.
Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet. This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterward, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling
-Bedding and pillows
Firewood
Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While the host does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in, and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.
If a host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, the host reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
Other Things to Note:
1) No eating in the tents, please. We live on the edge of the Siuslaw National Forest, and all the wildlife in the Coast Range crosses our ranch. Animals as small as Deer Mice all the way to Black bears are attracted to leftovers and food smells.
2) Please, no drinking to excess. Kitten Creek Adventure Camp was designed for quiet enjoyment. Complaints from other campers may lead to immediate eviction from the property with no refund.
3) When fires are allowed, put your campfire "dead out". Water, stir, water then check for heat with the back of your hand. NEVER leave your fire unattended!
4) When allowed, please keep your campfires small.
5) Please wait to start your campfire until the wind dies down, usually close to sunset.
6) Drive SLOWLY...please keep your speeds under 7 mph. No need to hurry here...and children, pets and the wildlife will appreciate it.
7) If your campsite has a table with an umbrella, please make sure you close it in high winds and whenever you are finished using the table.
8) Pets must be under your control at all times. There may be other dogs near, and wildlife is abundant.
9) Use common sense when confronted with an issue not listed.
10) And most of all...HAVE FUN!!!!!
