If glampers truly want to feel like they are in the open-country, they can open the large window in the evening and fall asleep to the sounds of nature.

The shared bathroom featuring a claw-foot bathtub is adjacent to the room. If guests prefer to have a hot shower, there is another shared bathroom located on the main floor of the house. Furthermore, guests have access to a grand living room featuring a large TV, several board games, and an extensive collection of books and movies.

Located on a historic cattle and hay ranch, this rustic glamping site affords guests with a majestic setting to enjoy a getaway unlike other. Towels and linens are provided and there is Wi-Fi located throughout. Additionally, there is plenty of parking on the property.

Onsite, guests have access to a communal living room great for relaxing after a long day exploring Oregon’s beautiful rolling pastures. There is a TV with satellite along with an extensive movie library. For those who prefer a good page-turner, there are also several books located in the living room. Guests can also find many different board games in this area.

Glampers also have access to a refrigerator where they can store all their food, a microwave and a BBQ grill great for roasting marshmallows. While guests are responsible their own lunch and dinner, the daily rate includes a delicious ranch breakfast complete with farm fresh eggs and freshly baked pastries. There is complimentary tea, apple cider, and hot chocolate available all day long.

Finally, guests have access to cowboy gear for the duration of their stay. Gear includes boots, hats, and saddlebags, which are a must for many activities, such as horseback riding and cattle herding.

Taking a sunset horseback ride is the best way to take in the breathtaking sights of the surrounding area, including Cascade Mountain Range, as well as Mt. Hood. Glampers will be awe-inspired as the sky changes to hues of pink and orange as they take in the spectacular views.

For guests who want to venture off the property, the John Day Fossil Beds National monument is about an hour away. Comprised of Clarno, Painted Hills, and Sheep Rock and spread out across a sprawling 19,000 acres, this national treasure conserves the past 55 million years of Earth’s geology, paleontology, and climate. When at the Sheep Rock, glampers can visit the Thomas Condon Paleontology Center, which showcases different fossils, as well as replicas of animals and plants from long ago. There are even exhibits for children to learn about the Earth’s history through time.

Additional info

Rates are based on double occupancy, thus there is an additional fee of $15 per night per additional person. Additional children are charged the same as adults.

Breakfast is included in the room rate. Breakfast is served family-style at 7:30 am Monday through Friday and at 8:00 am on the weekends. Early breakfast is available upon request. When booking, please alert the staff of any food allergies or special dietary needs.

Smoking is only allowed outside and pets are not allowed under any circumstances.

Cancellations must be communicated via email. All cancellations are subject to a $25 administrative processing fee per room per night. Guests will be responsible for the full reservation amount if they cancel and will have to pay if the manager is unable to fill the room.

Transportation from Pauling Field Airport is available upon request.

Horseback riding is available, but guests must reserve a horse and saddle for the scenic ranch ride in advance. The staff is unable to guarantee horseback riding unless prior arrangements have been made. The rate is $55 for the first hour and $30 for each additional hour. If guests need to cancel their ride, cancellations must be received by 6 pm the day before the scheduled ride. Evening rides need to be canceled by 10 am on the same day. If notice is not provided, then the guest is responsible for the cost of their ride.

Check out is at 11 am, however, guests can make special arrangements for late check out.
