It’s less than a mile from the property and has 18 holes with scenic views, which golfing enthusiasts will adore. Gearhart is also great for fishing. Fishermen of all ages can enjoy digging for razor clams at the local beach, and there are charter trips available, where Salmon or Sturgeon can be caught.
Nature lovers will be delighted by the variety of wildlife on show here. Guests can hope to spot eagles soaring overhead, or whales migrating along the coast. It’s a 30-minute drive to Ecola State Park, where there are trained volunteers on duty every morning during whale watching season, to help visitors spot whales and provide them with information about their migration. Those who love adventures can enjoy great surfing on this part of the coast, and there are miles of trails, for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. It’s also possible to go kayaking in the sea.
Retail therapy is only three miles away, in Seaside, where there are dozens of specialty shops, galleries, and boutiques. Glampers will find themselves spoiled for choice when it comes to great dining, as this section of the Oregon coast has so many great restaurants, with the specialty, of course, being seafood and fish.
