Description of Glamping Units
This traditional and secluded riverside getaway cabin in the Cascade Mountains, Oregon, is an enormous 2,600 square foot and sits on a three-acre lot on the side of the Santiam River. The property was an original 1941 mill owner's home and features turn of the century antiques. The four bedroom property can accommodate up to eight guests at one time. It is comprised of three bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen size bed, one with a double bed and one with a single bed. Downstairs there is a large bedroom furnished with a triple bunk bed, a small bathroom with a half-bath, and a television with games for children. The other bathroom, also located on the first floor, is recently refurbished and comes with a toilet, a combination bathtub/shower, a copper basin sink and an antique washstand. There is no phone or cable service making for a tranquil, disconnected stay.
However, guests can stay entertained with an LCD television with a DVD player, and a vast DVD and video-game collection. Guests can also use the stereo, CD player, a disc changer with iPod hookup, as well as plenty of books and games.
Glampers will be provided with the necessary facilities to ensure a comfortable experience, including a washing machine and electric clothes dryer, electric wall heaters in most rooms, and all linens and towels. In the living room, guests will find two leather sofas, a rocking chair and an original heatilator fireplace with two fans on either side built into the mantel, for which you will have to buy or bring the wood.
The homely kitchen is equipped with an oven, a microwave, a stove, a refrigerator, a toaster, and a coffee machine. It also comes with all the necessary dishes and cooking utensils, including barbecue sticks to use on the outdoor fire pit, and basic pantry items to help guests prepare a lovely home-cooked meal. This lovely kitchen is fitted with an antique apron sink, Hoosier cabinets, and granite slab counters. There is a dining area which seats up to six guests.
Outdoors the cabin is fitted with a 16' by 20' wraparound deck with bench seating and an iron grate to make the perfect campfire! There is also a Weber charcoal kettle with a chimney starter located on the porch, which guests will need to buy their own coal. The enormous two-acre lawn offers visitors space to relax and is equipped with a few outdoor games and a children's archery set for hours of fun. The cabin sits next to the Santiam River, filled with trout, offering excellent fishing. There is a lot of outdoor space on this three-acre lot, for guests to enjoy with a fire pit and garden furniture, as well as yard games and a children's archery set. The property offers plenty of parking space, as well as covered parking space for one car or three motorcycles. Those with an RV/Trailer/Boat can also be accommodated for with a large grassy knoll in the backyard and with electric, water, and septic hookups. Towels and linens will be provided to guests.

This huge riverside cabin sits on a three-acre lot in the Cascades Mountain Range, in northern Oregon. It is located in the small town of Idanha, just three miles east of Detroit Lake and 20 miles from the Oregon-Clear Lake, the most popular lake for tourists in the state. The property is situated just 15 miles from the Breitenbush Hot Springs, offering a relaxing retreat. The Hoodoo Ski Resort is just a 40-minute drive away for snowsports enthusiasts, as well as the towns of Camp Sherman and Sisters situated 45 miles away. The cabin lies right next to the scenic Santiam River, surrounded by many creeks and mountains. The nearest motorway is Highway 22, just one mile from the property and the nearest bars and restaurants are from one to three miles away. Guests don't have to venture far to find excellent nature-based activities. With the stream just at the bottom of the garden, it offers excellent rainbow trout fishing and a cold swim for those who are brave. On the river, there are jetties for a great private fly-fishing location, and for the sporty types, they can try jet skiing, windsurfing and water skiing on the Detroit Lake located just 10 minutes away. The Detroit Lake is also perfect for fishing, with a wide variety of species. Additionally, the Daly Lake is another ideal fishing spot which is about 30 minutes away by car, and within close proximity, guests can enjoy a picturesque riverside dining experience at the Marion Fork Restaurant. Alternatively, guests can simply explore, by foot or by bike, the surrounding wild acres of land and local wildlife. There are abundant opportunities for bird watching and taking excellent photographs of the stunning nature.
The river is also very popular for kayaking, although it is only advisable for experienced guests and those with safety gear. The area is also used by hunters for those interested. Surrounded by the Cascade Mountain Range, this seems the perfect place to go hiking, cycling or just for a scenic drive. There are endless hiking trails, including around the stunning Marion Lake and the McKenzie River with over 20 miles of trails for guests to enjoy. It is also possible to go skiing or cross-country skiing during the winter just 40 minutes away. In just 30 minutes guests can reach the Breightenbush Hot Springs where guests can also find classes, massage and spa treatments for a relaxing experience. It should be noted that this is a popular nudist area.
The most popular lake in Oregon, the Clear Lake, can be reached within one hour by car, where guests can hire a boat. In the charming town of Sisters, guests can access an array of shops and restaurants approximately 45 miles away.

This is a non-smoking property, however, outside is fine, and it is not pet-friendly. There is a minimum age of 25 years old for renters, and children are welcome. The cabin also welcomes long-term renters. The property is not wheelchair accessible.
