The beach in Oceanside is perfect for a peaceful, scenic getaway, with incredible views of Three Arch Rocks from Roseanna’s Café. Further up the beach through the tunnel at Maxwell Point glampers can find a more secluded stretch of beach. When in the mood for some exploring, glampers can head to the famous Octopus Tree with its 50-foot base and tentacle-like branches growing up into the sky, by the Cape Meares lighthouse, both found at the Cape Meares State Scenic Viewpoint--just a five-minute drive from Oceanside. The trailhead to Big Spruce, Oregon’s largest Sitka spruce, is located here and is a great excuse to kill three birds with one stone. If glampers want to take it easy for a day, Tillamook Eco Adventures also offers day tours, giving a great overview of the area.

In Tillamook itself, kayaking and canoeing are available at Kayak Tillamook, as well as the Tillamook Forest Center, a great retreat for picnics in the woods or climbing to the top of a forest fire lookout. For those more laid back days, the Tillamook Cheese Factory offers tours, as well as a selection of gift shops for glampers to bring back memories of this peaceful escape.
