Description of Glamping Units
This luxurious riverfront cabin in the Mount Hood National Forest in Oregon is beautifully decorated, with rustic furniture and rich antique throw rugs accenting its log beamed rooms. Downstairs, there is one bedroom with a twin-sized bed, and upstairs, there are two adjoining bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a twin. There is also a sofa bed for any additional guests. The main room has an open floor plan, with the living room and kitchen sharing the same cozy yet spacious area. The living room has a comfortable, large sofa and armchair centered around the fireplace and coffee table, with a long dining room table that seats eight guests behind it. The kitchen has polished wood cabinets to go along with the theme, and the entire space is brightened by colorful inlaid tiles and decorative pottery hung on the walls. There are three bedrooms and one full bathroom in the cabin to accommodate up to six guests. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking big meals, with a refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of cooking utensils. There is a television with a DVD player and movie library in the living room, as well as a wood-burning stone fireplace and a selection of board games. The cabin is situated right on the bank of the Sandy River near the west coast of Oregon, a few miles from the edge of Mt. Hood National Forest. The riverfront property is nestled in a tranquil wood, tucked away down a gravel driveway in a quiet neighborhood. Across the river, guests will find the popular Rendezvous Grill and Coffee House 26 Roastery for delicious meals and coffee throughout their stay. The town of Rhododendron, which is about 12 minutes away by car, is situated at the base of Mt. Hood. Both Mt. Hood Skibowl and the Timberland Lodge and Ski Area are located in the area, each with numerous ski runs to choose from and long lasting ski seasons. The charming property is the perfect place to relax in peace, whether guests want to pop in a movie or stay warm in front of the fire outside with views of the river. In Rhododendron, there are plenty of restaurants and shops for guests to choose from, as well as the two ski resorts, Mt. Hood Skibowl and Timberland Lodge and Ski Area. Each of them offer hundreds of slopes and ski runs, so skiers and snowboarders of any level will enjoy their time there. In the summer, there are numerous hiking trails for glampers to explore, like Mirror Lake Trail about 14 miles away, which provides views of Mt. Hood.
Mount Hood National Forest, which spreads across over 1 million acres of land in Oregon, is also full of beautiful trails and mountain biking runs. Guests can visit the local waterfall called Multnomah Falls about an hour to the north from the cabin as well. In Mount Hood, glampers can book a spa day or a guided fishing trip, or go rafting on the Sandy River. Spend an hour or two at the historic heritage and culture museum or play golf at The Courses at The Resort at the Mountain.
