Rogue River

Rogue River is a small city located in Oregon’s Jackson County. It is, rather unsurprisingly, located right on the Rogue River itself, making it an ideal spot for kayaking and canoeing. Rogue River is also the home of Palmerton Arboretum, which contains almost 90 species of trees and shrubs from around the world. Surrounded by national parks and forests, visitors of this area are absolutely spoilt for choice when it comes to natural beauty and stunning spots to spend time outdoors. Umpqua National Forest, Crater Lake National Park, Klamath National Forest, and Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest are all within easy reach of Rogue River, each with its own unique draw and all with spectacular hiking trails to explore. A 25-minute drive takes visitors to the larger city of Medford, which offers many entertainments including musicals, plays, concerts and wineries.
