Perched on a cliff overlooking the beautiful blue-green waters of the McKenzie river, this gorgeous home offers 1900 square feet of elevated riverfront views from every room in the rental. Situated on a private acre and a half with spectacular river views from every room and located in the middle of the most popular stretch of the McKenzie river for fly-fishing and rafting, there are countless activities nearby and right on the property.
Popular sports in the nearby area include cycling, fishing, fly fishing and hiking. There are plenty of golf courses in the nearby area, as well as services for kayaking, rafting, and rock climbing. Guests will enjoy whitewater rafting, water tubing, and mountain biking. Two city bikes are available on site, set with thick tires, and perfect for both mountain and road biking. There is a hand pump in the gym, just in case the tires are in need of air. For skiing and snowboarding, Bend is 90 minutes away. Other slopes are closer, but most prefer Bend.
The McKenzie River is a 90-mile tributary of the Willamette River—it drains part of the Cascade Range East of Eugene and flows westward into the southernmost end of the Willamette Valley. The fish here include Chinook Salmon, Mountain Whitefish, and Bull and Rainbow Trout. Dippers, mergansers, bald eagles, ospreys and various ducks feed on the fish. The Northern Spotted Owl lives in the dense forest on the west side of upper McKenzie Basin in Linn County.
