Yamhill

The pleasant city of Yamhill is located in Yamhill County, northern Oregon, around an hour outside of the bustling metropolis that is Portland. It is also just under an hour to Salem, Oregon’s state capital, and a little under an hour and a half to Pacific City on the coast. Keen hikers will be pleased to learn that Tillamook State Forest is easily accessible by car, allowing for many hours spent rambling around the woods. Closer to home, Yamhill is somewhat on the rural side. One thing they have in abundance is wineries and vineyards, most of which would be happy to have you over for a tour and a tasting! If wine is not your thing, there are also many farms and ranches, some of which offer horseback riding tours.
