Guests can settle in on the couch and catch up on a favorite series on the cable TV, or relax on the rocking chair next to the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace. Glampers can prepare a morning cup of coffee in the fully-equipped kitchen and enjoy the steaming drink out on the front porch. Guests can also share a home-cooked meal at the lovely table for two, or have a picnic out by the pond, surrounded by ferns and forest greens. Tucked away in the forest just south of Greenbank, Washington, this Whidbey Island log cabin has its own private duck pond and is surrounded by stunning scenery and numerous options for outdoor recreation. The nearby communities of Oak Harbor, Langley, Freeland, and Coupeville are all within a 10-30 minute drive. About an hour north of the property, guests can visit Anacortes and from there head over to the San Juan Islands or Victoria, Canada. Guests can make a day trip out to Seattle, which is only about an hour and a half away from the island. Just a short ways away at Oak Harbor and Langley, there are several charming galleries and workshops that feature local hand-made art. There are delicious dining options all over the island, and guests can take a tour at any of the numerous vineyards, breweries, and distilleries in the area. Deception Pass State Park is well worth a visit for some great hiking and birdwatching, and there are several beaches and lovely gardens even closer to home. With so many bays surrounding the island, glampers can partake in a plethora of water sports, such as kayaking and canoeing, or surfing and swimming. Fishing is plentiful, and guests can even go out for an evening of whale watching in on the cerulean waters.
