Walla Walla

Walla Walla lies in the eastern part of Washington, and it is famed for its rich history that dates back hundred of years. Yet, while this is why many tourists come to visit, campers have found an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life by venturing into the nearby wilderness, where they can find some of the most stunning scenery in the state. In fact, it lies close to the border which crosses over into Oregon, and is within a short drive to the mountains. When you are here, cross over the border into Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, where you can hike across the mountain sides, and catch some of the best views in the whole area. For lighter walks, Pioneer Park is a great spot for bird-watching and daytime picnics.
