Vance

The town of Vance was first settled in 1830, and it retains a charming, old-school atmosphere to this day. The downtown is well worth a visit with its numerous cafes, eateries, and restaurants. Tannehill Park and the Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge are also well worth checking out, as well as Bear Bryant Museum. The region is also great for hiking, mountain biking, fishing, rafting, and much more. The universities and colleges in Alabama have miles of hiking trails open to the public if you're looking for something a bit different. Or head to Moss Rock Preserve for trail running. No matter what, the state of Alabama is a beauty, and offers not just fantastic landscapes worth exploring, but also history and a unique local culture.
