A city that is part of the bigger metropolis of Little Rock, Greenbrier is a great place to visit for outdoor lovers looking to reach some of Arkansas natural reserves. A short way west of the city takes one to Quachita National Forest, a rugged region with thick forests that complements hiking activities. There is also Ozark National Forest. Comprised of 1.2 million acres of mountainous terrain, hiking trails, and fishing spots, the natural reserve offers some of the better outdoor experiences in the region. You can always take a break from the outdoors by visiting the heart of Little Rock, where you’ll find a number of vibrant city activities, like Magic Springs and Crystal Falls.
