In addition to fishing, guests can go sightseeing, hiking, eagle and bird watching, river kayaking, horseback riding, hiking, mountain bike riding, and explore the Ozarks. There are four unique species of trout in the nearby river, and a fishing guide is provided to ensure guests catch the best the waterways have to offer.
The Ozarks offer a variety of trails. Hiking and backpacking trails meander all through the mountains. Guests can bike and explore the 32 acres of lodge grounds and river frontage. Located in the nearby city of Mountain View is the unique Ozark Folk Center State Park, which preserves the Ozark Mountain way-of-life. It features the music, dance, and crafts of Ozark pioneers. Visitors can learn the Ozark craft ways by taking part in one of the many classes offered at the park. In the city of Norfork, just seven miles away, guests can go antique shopping, visit the Historic Wolf Family Cemetery, the Wolf House, and see a Civil War Reenactment during Pioneer Days. There are massive caverns to see at Blanchard Springs Caverns just north of Mountain View.
