This property is in the perfect location for guests to really explore the area - from events like Churchill Downs horse races to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, there is something for everyone. The Kentucky Bourbon Trail takes guests through nine historic distilleries in the area, to experience and learn about the rich tradition and proud history of "America's Official Native Spirit." Baseball enthusiasts can spend an afternoon at the Louisville Slugger Museum. While those who prefer cars to bats can check out the National Corvette Museum, with over 80 cars from mint classics, one-of-a-kind prototypes, and modern-day wonders. Mammoth Cave National Park is home to a long cave system of chambers and subterranean passageways that are fascinating to explore. Sites include the Frozen Niagara section, known for waterfall-like flowstone formations, and Gothic Avenue, with its ceiling covered in 19th-century visitors’ signatures. Last, but not least, if guests visit during the dates of the Kentucky Derby or Churchill Downs, they can watch some of the most iconic horse races in the country, not to mention try a mint julep.
