For a unique getaway, guests can sneak away for a stay in this cozy tree house which accommodates up to four guests and is nestled in the woods of Red River Gorge in Kentucky. The main tree house features a queen-size bed with soft linens and bedding. It is accessed by climbing a ladder. There is a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second tree house is down some steps, contains a double bed, and is perfect for some extra privacy. Towels and linens are kindly provided.

The cabin area has electricity, running water, and heating. The kitchen in the main cabin is well equipped with a microwave, a toaster oven, a mini-fridge, a coffeemaker, and cooking utensils. Guests can gather around the homemade stone fireplace on the ground, where they can roast marshmallows and relax around the table. The deck is also a great place to sit back on while admiring the stunning views of the setting around this tree house, Red River Gorge, Kentucky.

Inside, linens and towels are provided. Wi-Fi is not available, allowing guests the chance to disconnect. Other amenities include hot water, central heating or a heater, and a kitchenette. There is an outdoor fireplace and a grill available. Guests will just need to bring charcoal and lighter fluid. A coffeemaker is also provided but guests should bring their own coffee.

Guests can enjoy a private parking spot located right next to their tree house, and there is a ramp leading to the main tree house from the parking area, which is connected to another “nest” by a staircase bridge. Below is a home-made stone fireplace, perfect for cooking, enjoying a warm campfire at night (there is wood for sale along the main road), or for small gatherings. Part of the experience includes a double bed in the loft (up the ladder) and a queen bed in the "nest". Guests will even go in through the window as in the pictures.

There is a strict no-smoking policy.

There are steps down to the fire pit and a ladder up to the loft, where there is a double bed mattress. The main tree house has a queen size mattress however, access is through the window! Guests with back or leg problems should be aware this may present a challenge to them.

Guests should not wear shoes inside the accommodation, and alcohol should not be consumed on site.

There are many trails for hiking and climbing in the surrounding forest, with the national trailhead just steps away. Afternoons can be spent underground kayaking and off-roading on ATVs at Thrillsville Adventure Park, which is just minutes from the site. Glampers can zip-line, walk on tight-ropes, and explore the local mine at Thrillsville as well, or head an hour north to Cave Run Lake to swim, canoe, and relax by the water’s edge. Fishing enthusiasts can visit the numerous streams, rivers, and lakes to cast their line out before heading over to Stanton or Rogers to browse the shops and stop for a bite to eat.
