This secluded rental is based on an expanse of private, wooded land in Pitkin, Louisiana, and can accommodate up to two guests. Guests will find one quilted king-sized bed, a bedside table, and a lamp in the main bedroom with sheer curtains hanging from the windows allowing soft light into the room. There is a full bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower down the hall, including provided linens.

In the common area of the Bed and Breakfast, there is a spacious kitchen equipped with a full spice rack, a large refrigerator, stove, oven, coffeemaker, and cooking utensils where guests can prepare some food after a day exploring the property, the nearby creek, or the national forests in the area. Guests can eat their provided gourmet breakfasts out on the screened-in porch facing the property’s Louisiana landscape. The rental also comes with Wi-Fi and a washer and dryer for doing laundry.

Each bedroom comes fully furnished with provided linens and there are two private bathrooms in the lodge. The Bed and Breakfast comes with a fully equipped kitchen that includes an oven, stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, pantry items, and cooking utensils. There is a television in the sitting room with cable access and a Wi-Fi connection is available throughout the property. Guests can use the washer and dryer for doing laundry, and the front porch is furnished with patio furniture. Each morning, guests will also receive a full country breakfast.

This accommodation will provide glampers with the peaceful retreat into nature they have been looking for with its beautiful gardens blooming with color and native plants and a network of trails winding through the forest beyond. Guests can enjoy eggs, bacon, biscuits, and coffee from their rooms or out on the screened-in porch then take a book into the gardens for some reading under the sun. Guests can wander through toward the award-winning gallberry tree for a look at the local butterflies and hummingbirds that it attracts or head down to the bonfire for a marshmallow roast under the Louisiana stars.

In any of the national forests within driving distance, glampers can hike and mountain bike to the caverns and caves on site, venture to Ouiska Chitto Creek to fish or head further east to Catahoula Lake or west to Red Hills Lake for kayaking, swimming, and paddleboarding. In Alexandria, guests can enjoy a meal in town before spending a few hours at the Alexandria Zoological Park, the Museum of Art, or in the boutique shops around the city center.
