There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Beavers Bend Resort State Park is truly a slice of heaven. Broken Bow Lake has little to no development along its banks, creating a truly natural environment of beautiful clear blue water and vibrant green pine trees, which cover the surrounding mountains. Visitors can canoe, kayak, or powerboat on the lake, and there are also zip-line courses over the tree canopy. Ouachita National Forest also offers a lot of natural adventure. It is ideally suited for mountain bikers and hikers, due to the many beautiful and scenic trails. There are plenty of routes with varied entry and exit points.
