The number one attraction will surely be Dale Hollow Lake, where adventurers will be perfectly equipped to set sail on a boating or fishing excursion, with all of the resources and handy information provided by the hosts.

Dale Hollow Lake is a world-class fishing destination, as the current world record holder of Smallmouth Bass, and the Tennessee state record for Lake Trout. However, the lake boasts several other species, including Rainbow Trout, Muskie, Largemouth Bass, Walleye Crappie, and Catfish. The perfectly preserved, clear waters make it a scuba diver’s dream, with several spots marked for diving, such as Old Willow Grove, Diver’s Rock, and Pleasant Grove.

Dale Hollow State Park offers a number of hiking trails to explore, some skirting the shoreline, and others requiring more of a climb to reach the top for a rewarding view. One of the most fantastic views can be found at the top of Eagle Point Trail. There are also several trails for horseback riding, shared with hikers, such as Red Oak Ridge Trail at Holly Creek.

Guests can also get a taste of the local, small-town atmosphere by visiting Pickett County, the Gateway to Dale Hollow Lake. Here guests will find delicious cuisine, southern hospitality, catfish dinners, homemade pies, lakeside dining, and more.
