This unique A-frame cabin is the perfect rental for a getaway on Watauga Lake near Johnson City, Tennessee. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms to accommodate up to six glampers. The first bedroom upstairs has a queen-size bed with a private full-size bathroom that features a Jacuzzi bathtub.
All linens, blankets, and bath towels are supplied. The downstairs bedroom is smaller with a double bed, an end table with lamp, large double hung window, a full-size closet, and a dresser with a mirror. Upstairs, the loft bedroom, with a door, is accessed by a spiral staircase. It is larger with a queen-size bed, end tables, lamps, a full-size double hung window, skylights, and open shelving for clothes storage. The full closet is in the bathroom upstairs.
The second bedroom has a double bed with a full-size bathroom that has double luxurious shower heads and ample space. One bathroom has a double shower head, the other with a jetted whirlpool tub for two.
The living room has a futon/double bed that can sleep, two adults. All the bedding is new, the queen-size bed is a premium pillow-top mattress, and the double bed has a new memory foam topper.
The interior of the cabin has tons of wood, a big bright interior with lake views from every room, and skylights.
The internet is reliable and works well for streaming.
There is Roku TV that has a Netflix account set up, and guests are welcome to add other channels. There is also a Bluetooth SoundBar for the TV or for guests' own music library. For those who would enjoy a cozy night in, they can choose from the collection of classic movies DVD library to watch together.
There are two kayaks available for glampers to use free of charge. The hosts also have a canoe that is there most of the time, but not guaranteed, as it is their personal boat and they use it sometimes.

Watauga is like no other—warm during the days, cool evenings, no mosquitoes and relatively uninhabited. Boat traffic is minimal during all parts of the day, and the lake is huge, allowing for plenty of space for glampers to enjoy a number of activities.
Paddle one of the cabin's kayaks from the private dock to fish, view the bald eagles' nest or simply explore the 105 miles of national forest that border the lake. Watch the kids and friends swim from the porch which cooking a grill out on the commercial grade gas grill while listening to tunes on the Bluetooth sound bar and simply forget all cares and make new memories.
Gather around the bonfire sharing stories of a day on the lake and looking at the extensive views of the water and national forest. Glampers can spend endless hours hiking, mountain biking, climbing, and simply exploring the miles valley that surrounds this glamping site. Take a picnic and make a day of the travels and then retreat back to the comfort of the cabin rental.

Guests can easily take day trips to whitewater rafting, a local winery, hike the Appalachian trail or Roan Mountain, known for gorgeous views, rhododendron forests, and cross-country skiing, or find a secluded waterfall with the help of hosts. Drive to the thriving college town of Boone, North Carolina, which is 45 minutes away or visit the popular Banner Elk and Blowing Rock.
