The cabin sits right in the middle of hiking country, with outdoor sights and trails never far from the door. The Greeter Falls hiking loop lies nearby, as does the Collins Gulf route, both of which are known for their breathtaking waterfalls, while Savage Gulf State Park contains dozens of trails. Half an hour to the west is Woods Reservoir, available for swimming, water skiing, and beach lounging during the summer. Fall Creek Falls State Park, meanwhile, is the most-visited state park in Tennessee, and one of the most popular in the region. When winter falls in the area, the mountains open up to an array of snow sports, including skiing and snowboarding.
