Cosby

The town of Cosby, Tennessee, formerly known as the “Moonshine Capital of the World”, is now a tourist destination thanks to its proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The park allows access to some of the most inspiring scenery in the whole of Appalachia’s majestic Blue Ridge. The famous range, deriving its name from the mists that rise from its wooded slopes, has the largest area of contiguous old-growth forest in the eastern US and hundreds of miles of trails, including sections of the world-famous Appalachian Trail, permitting glampers to get up close and personal with its natural beauty. The town is near the only ski resort in Tennessee and to Pigeon Forge, home of the Dollywood theme park, dedicated to the famous former resident, Dolly Parton. Additionally, Cosby is only an hour from romantic Asheville, North Carolina, considered one of the most attractive cities in the region.
