Rogersville

The historic town of Rogersville, Tennessee is the second oldest in the state and was first settled by the grandparents of local folk hero, Davy Crockett. The town contains hundreds of historic buildings, some dating to the 18th century, that include inns, a courthouse, and multiple homes and business, giving it an old-fashioned charm that makes it the perfect base from which to explore the region. Nearby hiking trails take visitors up Devil’s Nose Mountain and with Rogersville’s proximity to the Cherokee State Forest, hikers, mountain-bikers, and nature lovers can experience some of the wild scenery and varied wildlife for which this section of southern Appalachia is so rightly famed, right on their doorstep. History, country charm, and rugged nature combine to make Rogersville the perfect Tennessee getaway.
