The property sits on 9.75 beautiful acres and it offers three available rental units (this glamping tent, a tiny house, and a private guest house), which have a lot of space between them to ensure that all guests get the privacy they are looking for. The hosts live on the property, too, which means guests are well taken care of. Each unit has their own private fire pit area and is visually hidden from one another when sitting outdoors.

With this booking, guests get the glamping tent, with its awesome soaking tub and spectacular views. It also comes with the use of a secondary sitting/optional dining/library area and a cool, short hiking trail when the weather is good. (The trail is not available if rain is expected or within 24 hours after a rain, as the rocks are slippery when wet). The path is steep, and guests must have good shoes to hike it, but those who are so inclined will find it fun to take this short walk down into the valley, following the little red balls (attached to the trees), which concludes at a cool rock "amphitheater." This is not a long hike, just a fun way to explore and soak up the natural healing of trees and nature.

The relaxation/massage room has a comfortable leather reading chair, a small table and chairs, and a wellness library. On this property, there is also an exercise/creativity/art studio that glampers can access. The use of the full-body vibration machine and rowing machine in this area are free to all, too.

Wi-Fi is provided, and the hosts are on site should guests need anything special.

Guests' stay here can also include an optional artisan breakfast every morning between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. (time to be specified upon arrival) using locally sourced eggs and organics when available. The hosts are happy to adapt to guests dietary needs and gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, Paleo, Kosher, Keto, and vegans are all welcome here. Sorry, no children or pets are allowed (21 or older please), due to the property being located on rocky, unlevel terrain with stone walk paths, they are not disability-friendly for those with mobile disabilities. However, other than those stipulations, all glampers are welcome.

Last but not least, guests must let the host know if they have special dietary needs when making a reservation. Breakfast is generally served outdoors al fresco, weather permitting, on the deck attached to the host's house overlooking the hills and valley. A typical breakfast includes fresh berries or other seasonal fruit, locally-sourced eggs (used in a quiche, waffles, or our signature eggs rochelle with spinach), waffles, the hosts' specialty French toast or crepes, plus bacon, sausage (vegan or chicken options), mushrooms or potatoes, as well as juice and, of course, coffee or tea.

The cost for breakfast is $20 (for one to two people and paid by cash) or $22 (if paid by credit card). It is served al fresco (i.e. out on the host's deck area that overlooks the view), and it may include other guests joining at the same table if they choose the same time to eat. Other breakfast options are to eat privately in the library room, or with advance notice, to get breakfast room service-style (brought to the room) for an extra $10.

Location + Surroundings

This bed and breakfast is the perfect location for glampers to experience the historical towns of Bandera, Boerne, San Antonio, and Helotes/Grey Forest. All are very different from each other and fun to explore, and each can be reached within 15-25 minutes. Glampers may also take a short 45-90 minute road trip to visit the cities of Austin, San Marcos, Wimberly, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Sisterdale, Comfort, Johnson City and more. Guests who are into wineries can check out "Wine Road 290," which makes up about 30 miles from Fredericksburg to Johnson City, Texas, and offers 15 wineries and tastings rooms—perfect for glampers looking to pamper themselves.

Part of what makes stays here so special are the hilltop views, the magical sunsets, the dark star-filled skies, and the on-going breeze. Guests will feel far-far away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and the critters here—deer, rabbit, geiko, birds, foxes, ladybugs, and sometimes lightening bugs—add to the relaxation and deep rest that we are known for.

No outside guests are allowed (1-2 registered guests only) to keep peaceful integrity.

All inside areas are non-smoking.

Shoes are required to come off prior to entering the tent.

Late check-out option is available on weekdays only (not available on Friday-Sunday).

Wireless internet is available outside the property. However, the signal is often not strong enough to give good access inside of the property. The WIFI does, however, work fine for guests when they have individual phones.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Hiking on the property is at the guest's own risk and is very steep and very limited. There is a short walk to a tucked in place that the host's like to call 'Amphitheatre," but beyond that hiking is strictly prohibited on the property (for guest safety) and even this trail is not recommended if it has recently rained, as the path can be very slick and ridden with tree trunks, pricker plants, and slippery leaves.

If a guest is hurt, they are urged to call 911 in an emergency and/or contact the hosts. They can provide bentonite clay for bug bites or band-aids and ice for injuries if needed.
