Just a short ride into Corpus Christi to visit the USS Lexington, Texas State Aquarium or Schlitterbahn Waterpark that is coming soon. The island has great restaurants, shopping, deep sea or bay fishing, miles of fantastic beaches and Newport Dunes Golf Course. The closest main city to this glamping site is San Antonio, which is just over two hours away but makes for a great day trip to explore more of Texas. The island also has an Easter Egg Hunt for all the children and the parents make it memorable. April also has Sandfest weekend where beautiful sculptures that are created by professionals are shown and the guests come to celebrate the weekend.
