The nearby town of Greenville offers a range of unique attractions. The Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum hosts a great deal of local history including Caddo Indian arrowheads and tools to displays of the history of Northeast Texas, farming history, period clothing, a 1906 Cadillac, and information on Audie Murphy and various military conflicts, this museum has something for everyone. There are several wineries, for example, the Landon Winery, and the Splash Kingdom Water Park, which is particularly family-friendly.
Dallas has a huge range of sights and activities. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens showcases the best of Southern gardening and there are also excellent museums such as the Old Red Museum and the Sixth Floor Museum.
