Terrell

Originating in 1873, Terrell, Texas got its start as a railroad town along the Texas and Pacific Railroad line. Located right outside Dallas to the east, it’s easy to get to from the big city, and glampers won’t have very long to drive to reach their final destination. Temperatures here can be very hot and humid in the summer, so finding a body of water to cool off in is a good idea. To the northeast is Lake Tawakoni where glampers can go swimming, paddleboarding, canoeing, or boating. Head to Lake Tawakoni State Park to hiking or biking through prairie and woodlands. It also has five miles of shoreline for swimming, boating and fishing. Wind Point Park also has a fishing pier for those looking to catch their dinner. Make Terrell, Texas your next glamping destination.
