Built in 1924, this luxury coastal villa rental near Tampa remains one of the oldest and most beloved homes on the island. Lovingly restored in 2015 to its former glory, this home now offers guests a once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy a unique twist on luxury island living. Staying true to the original French Normandy style of the home, the updates reflect the history of the home, while providing modern amenities to make guests comfortable.

Located less then a block from the beautiful Gulf beaches, this rental can accommodate up to eight people. It has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and a half bath. Enter the ground level home through a spacious screened in porch and guests will find themselves in the stone turret, which also houses a spiral staircase to the second floor. Continue into the cozy living room complete with bay windows, comfortable seating, working electric fireplace, and 65 inch curved screen smart TV. The French doors on the west and east sides of the room provide ample natural light and allow cool breezes through the house.

The master suite is conveniently located on the ground floor immediately off of the living room, and provides ample natural light, with light blocking drapes to ensure privacy and uninterrupted sleep. Enjoy the outdoor air and tropical landscaping any time by stepping directly out of the master bedroom through French doors onto a private patio. The master suite patio provides direct access to the pool through the conveniently located gate. Accurately reflecting the 1920s, the master bathroom includes a claw foot bathtub. Additionally, a beautiful walk-in shower and double sink provide luxury and convenience to guests. The master suite is truly a place to relax, rest, and be refreshed!

Head back through the turret to enter the traditional dining room and kitchen, elegantly decorated with tasteful true to period furniture and features (many being original to the home), the dining room comfortably fits all who might be staying at this lovely rental, and provides a great place for family dinner or game night. Whether guests plan to cook dinner or simply brew a cup of coffee, they will enjoy their time in the bright and cheery kitchen with views of the tropical pool area above the vintage double sink. The appliances are uniquely styled to reflect historic models and the brightly colored tile are truly a work of art.

Off the kitchen is the washer and dryer, along with easy access to the outside, and right around the corner from the back patio and pool. The spacious back patio is surrounded by beautiful lush tropical landscaping - a perfect setting for enjoying the heated pool, sunbathing or enjoying a meal in the fresh air. Rinse off after a swim in the pool or a walk on the beach in the outdoor shower located by the kitchen door. At the top of the spiral staircase in the turret, there are two bedrooms with queen-size beds and a large kids room with two beds.

One queen bedroom has its own private bathroom with a walk-in shower; while the other bedrooms share a bathroom. Passing by the small upstairs kitchenette complete with everything needed to brew an early morning coffee, guests will find themselves on the original sleeping porch. Sleeping porches were originally used during the hot summer nights to escape the stifling heat of upper level bedrooms and take advantage of the cool night breezes. While the air-conditioning alleviates uncomfortable sleeping conditions in the bedrooms, the sleeping porch is now perfect for curling up with a good book or watch the sun come up over the lush tropical patio landscaping.

Each bedroom is equipped with smart TVs and wireless internet is available throughout the house. Beautiful tile work, custom cabinetry, auto-motion lights, and an uncompromising level of detail provide an incomparable, stunning backdrop to a luxury stay on Anna Maria Island. Whether guests enjoy spending time on the beach, fishing, boating, paddle boarding, shopping, eating, visiting art galleries, or taking in a play at the local theater, they will thoroughly enjoy their time here.

This luxury villa is not only a very short walk to the pristine Gulf beaches, but also conveniently less then a block from the free island trolley. Hop aboard and travel to one of the shopping areas on the island or discover a soon-to-be favorite restaurant. Or, experience island living by riding a bike or driving a golf cart around the island.

This property offers a barbecue grill for relaxed evenings after a day of activities, a table with eight chairs, an outdoor shower with hot and cold water, plus a heated private pool. Inside the villa, there are washing and drying facilities, WiFi access, and an iPod docking station.
