Marianna

Marianna is called "The City of Southern Charm" for good reason - its picturesque downtown exudes the kind of Southern charm it's hard to find these days. Take a look at the lovely courthouse park, with an obelisk marking the Civil War Battle of Marianna. There's also the Russ House & Visitor Center, a Classical Revival home listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and well worth checking out. It is also home to extraordinary natural beauty, with numerous rivers, lakes, and ponds in the area. Here, you can go kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, swimming, fishing, and so much more. Head over to the Florida Caverns State Park, or visit the largest dam in Florida.
