North Captiva is part of a barrier island archipelago that stretches along the west Florida coast for hundreds of miles, meaning guests actually have a front row seat to the stunning waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The island is truly blissful, as no cars are permitted to drive on its roads and the only ways to reach the site is via ferry or boat; tourists and locals get around by using bikes and golf carts, creating an atmosphere of cleanliness and tranquillity that is unmatched at other resort destinations. The ferry departs Pine Island Marina every two hours, meaning a day trip to the Florida mainland is never out of the question.
