This property is located on North Captiva Island, Florida and is situated directly on the beach. North Captiva is one link in a long chain of barrier islands that sit between the Gulf of Mexico and the Florida mainland. Guests get classic Florida weather, but without all the hustle-and-bustle that accompanies most tourist cities. In fact, there's no hustle-and-bustle at all; cars are not allowed on North Captiva, with guests arriving via ferry or private boat and all the island locals getting around on golf carts and bicycles. It's a supremely quiet, lovely space that truly is unique among the holiday destinations in Florida, and indeed, the US. Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers is the closest major airport guests can use; Pine Island Marina is the mainland departure point for the island's ferry system. Read More

On North Captiva Island, many guests love to rent boats and other equipment and head out on the ocean to explore, with regular motorboats, as well as kayaks and jet skis all on offer for guests to try out. Those interested in a bit of sport will love the tennis and basketball courts on the island, and there's also a playground to keep the kids busy. Those looking to have a relaxing self-care day can head to the spa and massage centers that dot the island. If golf carting feels too automated, guests can also use their bikes to get around the island and discover new beaches. The island's roads are perfect for bikes, as they are very flat and mostly straight.
