Florida glamping:
What you need to know

Why Choose Glamping in Florida?

Home to world-famous beaches, theme parks, and year-round sun, Florida is a diverse vacation destination with a host of unforgettable experiences.

Get up close and personal with an alligator, discover a hidden, underwater paradise, and ride horseback across white sand beaches in Florida. This provides the perfect place to enjoy all that the outdoors has to offer.

There are also some excellent cities to explore in Florida such as Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. Whether you’re seeking an adventure trip with the whole family or would prefer to wander bustling hubs, you will find it all here.

Top Things to Do in Florida

With over 200 days of sun a year, Florida’s subtropical climate is ideal for outdoor recreation. Beaches, bays, inlets, islands, and estuaries all provide the perfect places for swimming, surfing, glamping, hiking, fishing, and more!

There are 500 miles between Northwest Florida and the Florida Keys with a range of landscapes and ecosystems in between. From the Apalachicola National Forest to the Gulf Coast islands like Captiva, all the way down to the Everglades National Park, there are plenty of places to explore here.

Before you get to the Florida Keys, be sure to spend some time exploring Everglades National Park. Here is the only place on Earth where both freshwater alligators and saltwater crocodiles coexist. Beginning with the Kissimmee River as it leaves Orlando and heads south, the Everglades are an expanse of wetlands, best scoured from an airboat. You can also choose to rent a kayak and paddle through the park’s waterways, spotting manatees, alligators, and tropical birds as you go.

If you prefer a different perspective of the coast, swap your kayak for some scuba or snorkel gear. The reefs around the Florida Keys are the best places to explore. Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary, just off Big Pine Key, has amazing coral and marine wildlife, like eels, barracuda, and angelfish. Head to the Crystal River, inland in Citrus County, where you can snorkel with manatees (between November and April).

With so much to see and do in Florida, it comes as no surprise that so many tourists go here for a jam-packed getaway. Be sure to spend some time researching all of the different activities for your stay, as you may find yourself needing more time just to experience them all!
