While guests have endless ways to fill their days without ever leaving the private grounds of the resort, there is so much to do outside. At the base of the Appalachian Mountains, hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails weave their way through the surrounding landscape. Nature Valley Park is a great place to start, with a bit of history of the area and the beautiful Lower and Upper Falls Trails. Other popular trails in the area include the Indian Mounds Trail, the Lake Petit Trail, and the Botanical Garden Nature Trail. Guests, however, can never forget the famous Appalachian Trail, part of which runs nearby the property. Once summer hits, the best way to spend the day is by Lake Petit with a picnic. Guests can fish and swim all day before heading home to relax and have dinner.
