McCaysville

McCaysville is a charming small mountain town in Fannin County, which is located along the Tennessee-Georgia state line. Indeed, glampers can stand with one foot in Georgia and one foot in Tennessee when they cross the Blue Line. The town is filled with antique shops, specialty stores, art galleries, restaurants, and cafes. There is plenty to see and do here as well, from going whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River which runs through the town itself. Or you can try out kayaking and tubing on the Toccoa River. Head to Horseshoe Bend Park for picnics, fishing, and the weekly "Pickin' in the Park" - a jam session of bluegrass and acoustic musicians. And all of this a mere 90-minute drive to either Atlanta or Chattanooga.
