This beautiful suite rental on a private plantation near Albany is perfect for romantic getaways or couples who want to explore the lodge and the area around Moultrie, Georgia. The suite is painted a calming light turquoise and furnished with a king-sized four-poster bed. Guests will also have an ensuite bathroom, which has wall-to-wall mirrors and terracotta tiles as well as a standing tiled shower. The accommodation also has a comfy L-shaped sofa near a coffee table and a lattice rocking chair, where guests can read or nap by the window.
Guests can directly access the front porch and main room of the lodge from their private suite, where they can relax in front of the fire or rock in one of the patio rocking chairs with great views of the forest and fields beyond. Read More

Most of the accommodations are furnished with a small kitchenette, including a microwave, a refrigerator, a coffeemaker, and a toaster. There is satellite television and ensuite bathrooms in every bedroom. The main lodge serves meals in the dining room, and there is a furnished screened-in porch with tables and chairs.
The train depot on the property measures over 5,000 square feet and has a commercial kitchen, banquet tables, chairs, and a lounge/bar area. There is also a billiards table and a fire pit outside. Guests will find a gift store and horse stables by the main office and property entrance.

The property is located on a beautiful expanse of private land surrounded by maple trees, about 10 minutes from the town center of Moultrie, a charming community in southern Georgia near the Georgia-Florida border. The property was historically used as a site for annual quail hunting, however, in recent years the owners have acquired the original 19th-century Moultrie Train Depot and a 1901 Pullman railcar, both of which are used for lodging and events by today’s guests.
In Moultrie, guests will find restaurants, boutique shops, and heritage centers gathered around the town square, with the Main Street Park nearby and a few 18-hole golf courses around town. Tallahassee, Florida, is just an hour away to the south by car. Read More

Glampers will find plenty to do without leaving the vast property, from shooting skeet on the range behind the main lodge and hunting quail on the 4,000 acres of land to riding horses on one of the trails extending into the woods of southern Georgia. The main lodge is elegantly and comfortably outfitted for nights playing games or talking to other guests in front of the roaring fire, with a network of walking paths meandering across the lawns for those who enjoy an afternoon stroll.
Visitors could also head into Moultrie for a meal in town or to wander through the streets’ many galleries and shops, passing the historic 1902 courthouse along the way. The Calico Arts and Crafts show is open throughout the year as well, showcasing the work of over 300 local artisans. Glampers can also play a round of golf at Sunset Country Club or visit the Ellen Payne Odom Genealogy Library for a look through the area’s familial legacies.
