This spectacular, classic log cabin near Helen, Georgia, consists of three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half-bathroom, allowing for more than enough room for up to 11 guests at a time. As such, this rental is perfect for family get-togethers or groups of friends. The master bedroom includes one king-size bed, as well as a flat-screen television. The second bedroom includes two single beds, and the third bedroom includes three single beds.
The spacious family room includes additional sleeping space in the form of two pull-out futons, as well as a television, a pool table, a wood-burning fireplace, and a built-in minibar with a fridge and wine cooler, all within the confines of beautifully crafted woodwork and furnishings. Just outside the property is the village of Sautee Nacacoochee, where guests can immerse themselves in local culture at the community center and folk pottery museum, or in the village's history through a walk down the Sautee Valley Historic District, which is lined with buildings ranging from prehistory to modern. Further out is the Germanic city of Helen, which is reminiscent of a quintessential Bavarian town. Guests can enjoy the charming German-inspired architecture, German cuisine, a tube ride down the winding river, as well as a variety of local festivities that are held throughout the year, such as a hot-air balloon race in June, a Volkswagen and Audi event as a tribute to the Wothersee car show, and Oktoberfest in the fall.
For outdoor enthusiasts, Unicoi State Park is just a stone's throw away from Helen and features a vast expanse of wilderness. Those feeling particularly adventurous can head a bit further north to the mountainscape of Chattahoochee National Forest, where guests will also find the Brasstown Bald, which has the distinction of being the highest peak in the state of Georgia.
