Warm Springs
The city of Warm Springs is based in Meriweather County, Georgia, about an hour south of Atlanta, surrounded by rolling hills and freshwater springs. Popular activities in the area include hiking, fishing, and golfing and there are an array of nature trails including one that leads to Dowdell's Knob where it is said President Franklin D. Roosevelt would occasionally dine. Natural attractions, such as the Allegheny Highlands, are also nearby, and Lake Moomaw and Douthat State Park are both a 45-minute drive away.
