Asheville and the surrounding landscapes are home to many sights, parks, and activities to keep glampers occupied throughout their stay. From the rolling hills to the flowing rivers, there is something for everyone in western North Carolina.
The Blue Ridge Mountains and various valleys offer great terrains for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and riding ATVs. During the fall, the abundant foliage changes color and provides a great landscape for birdwatching and wildlife photography. A great way to see the area is by taking a hot air balloon ride, which rides are available throughout Asheville.
Taking day trips to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Chimney Rock Park, Linville Gorge, and Grandfather Mountain are made easy because of their close proximity to the property. At these locations, glampers can take tours, sightsee, or just explore on foot.
Local lakes like Lake Louise and Beaver Lake are excellent locations for kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, or just having a picnic on the shores. During the winter months, glampers can bring their favorite skis and spend the day on the slopes of the Wolf Laurel Ski Resort. The historic hot springs are located just a short drive north of the property, so guests can relax while learning about the local history.
If glampers wish to venture into the city of Asheville, they can experience the local gastronomy by visiting the many gourmet restaurants and breweries. Asheville is also known for its eclectic music scene and vibrant nightlife. The city is also home to many museums and historical monuments, so glampers can take a guided tour to learn about Asheville and the local culture. The Biltmore Estate, which is an extravagant chateau-like home, is open for tours of the inside as well as the beautiful gardens.
